Built and scaled a premium mobile grooming business from a single van into a multi-unit operation—designing the marketing, operations, and customer experience from the ground up.
PupLuxe Grooming is a full-service mobile grooming business designed around convenience, quality, and a premium customer experience.
Unlike traditional grooming services, our model eliminates add-ons and upcharging—offering an all-inclusive service using high-quality, coat-specific products tailored to each pet. The goal wasn’t just convenience—it was creating a grooming experience pet owners could trust and return to consistently.
The Challenge
Starting from scratch required building not just the brand, but the systems needed to acquire customers, deliver consistent service, and support a growing team—all in a competitive, price-driven market.

My Role
As Co-Owner, I led the marketing, operations, and financial systems of the business.
This included:
- Paid advertising (Google & Meta)
- Social media and brand presence
- Scheduling and route optimization
- Payroll, HR, and financial reporting
- Client communication and service experience
The Approach
The biggest challenge wasn’t generating demand—it was building the operational structure to support growth without sacrificing service quality.

Positioning a Premium Service
Instead of competing on price, we positioned PupLuxe as a high-end, convenience-first service.
This included:
- All-inclusive pricing (no add-ons or upsells)
- High-quality, tailored products
- A consistent, elevated customer experience
The goal: build trust and justify premium pricing.

Building a Marketing Engine
To drive consistent demand, I developed and managed:
- Facebook/Instagram PPC campaigns
- Meta ad campaign generates ~60 intakes every 30 days at under $7.50 cost per lead.
- Organic social presence and engagement
- Localized targeting strategies
This created a steady pipeline of new clients while reinforcing brand positioning.

Designing Operations & Service Systems
Growth required more than demand—it required structure.
I built systems that ensured consistency across both operations and customer experience, including:
- Scheduling and route optimization
- Client communication workflows
- Standardized service expectations across groomers

Building and Supporting a High-Performing Team
A premium service depends on the people delivering it.
I helped establish the foundation for a strong, scalable workforce by:
- Defining compensation structures and performance expectations
- Documenting operational standards and best practices
- Supporting hiring, onboarding, and team development
This created alignment across the team and ensured that every groomer could deliver a consistent, high-quality experience.

These efforts resulted in measurable growth across the business—from capacity and revenue to customer retention and operational scalability.
Scaled from 1 to 3 mobile units and from a solo operator to a team of full-time groomers—expanding capacity while maintaining service quality.
Achieved rapid early-stage growth following launch, followed by sustained year-over-year growth of ~48% and ~17% as the business scaled.
Built a predictable client acquisition engine through targeted Google and Meta campaigns, accounting for over 40% of new intakes.
Increased customer lifetime value by delivering a premium, retention-driven service experience.
Implemented operational and workforce systems that supported sustainable, scalable growth.
